What is Data Activator?
Data activator is a no-code solution that’s available in Microsoft Fabric in preview mode to allow analysts to take different actions when data hits certain thresholds or detects patterns set by the user. It can send emails and Teams messages, or even trigger Power Automate and Fabric items.
Data Activator enables businesses to build a “digital nervous system” that allows it to act on all their data. Since it’s a no-code solution, business users can self-serve and reduce the workload on IT or data developer teams, which are often in high demand and costly. Business users will often know their data more closely and should be able to create better alerts around the metrics that are important to them. Technical users can also leverage this technology to create actions around critical alerts with more complex results, such as kicking off a Power Automate flow or Fabric items to run special workflows.
