AI security & governance
Governance is a system, not a policy deck
IDC projects 1.3 billion AI agents in circulation by 2028. Every AI deployment without governance is a liability. Microsoft Agent 365 is the control plane for governing those agents.
We build the guardrails that make AI safe to scale by building governance into the operating model itself. Your access controls, compliance, and auditability are enforced at the same layer where agents and humans execute.
Using Microsoft Purview for data governance and Microsoft Agent 365 for security and observability, our practice covers Microsoft’s three dimensions of agentic governance: who and what can act, what they can act on, and how their actions are audited.
What we deliver
Data estate readiness for AI
Clarify data ownership. Deploy classification and labeling. Enforce retention and DLP. Remediate oversharing before Copilot or agents index sensitive content. Built on Microsoft Purview Unified Catalog.
Agent governance
Scope, identity, and policy boundaries for agents built in Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry. Observability and audit trails via Agent 365. Decision logic, thresholds, and exception handling codified.
Operating-model governance
Human-in-the-loop design where reviewers approve sensitive decisions. Agent-boss roles that monitor performance and approve policy changes. Continuous-improvement telemetry feeding back into policy
Why Inviso for AI security & governance
Purview and Agent 365 depth in one practice. Data governance and agent governance are the same problem, and we treat them that way.
Governance enforced where execution happens, not documented beside it.
Alignment to Microsoft’s own three dimensions of agentic governance, so your model matches the platform’s.
Do you know how many agents are already running in your environment? Most organizations don’t.
What our AI security readiness covers
Before a Copilot agent is built or published, the underlying tenant has to be hardened. Our AI security and governance readiness is a structured, pre-deployment review across six control domains, run in priority order, with critical items treated as launch blockers.
The output is a prioritized readiness baseline: what’s a launch blocker, what to resolve before general availability, and what to carry into an ongoing governance backlog.
Identity and agent governance (Microsoft Entra)
Entra Agent ID, Conditional Access for agent sign-ins, privileged-access governance, and least-privilege review of each agent’s API permission scopes.
Purview and data security posture (DSPM for AI)
Auditing for Copilot and agent interactions, the pre-launch oversharing assessment, sensitivity labels and DLP policies for what agents can process, and AI-regulation control mapping.
SharePoint and OneDrive data foundation
Permission-hygiene review, remediation of broad grants and broken inheritance, and explicit scoping of each agent’s grounding data, the most common root cause of agent oversharing.
Power Platform & Copilot Studio
Dedicated environment strategy, connector DLP classification, solution-based ALM, and maker governance for agent build and publish.
Agent publishing and runtime governance
Publishing-approval workflow, scope definition, content-safety testing, human-in-the-loop approval for any agent action with a side effect, and observability across the estate.
Change management and rollout governance
Pilot strategy, end-user communication, success criteria, a rollback plan, and a recurring post-launch governance cadence.
FAQs
What is Microsoft Agent 365?
Microsoft’s control plane for governing AI agents: identity, access, observability, and audit across the agents operating in your environment. Inviso configures Agent 365 and builds the governance guardrails (identity, access, and policy controls) that make agents safe to scale.
When should AI governance start?
Before deployment, not after. Retrofitting governance onto proliferating agents is expensive and risky. Every Inviso agent build ships with governance and security configured up-front; governance-first is cheaper than governance-later, every time.
We think employees are already using unsanctioned AI. What do we do?
Start with discovery. Using Agent 365 with Defender and Intune, we surface every agent already in use, sanctioned and shadow, and build a risk-and-readiness baseline. Then you decide what to govern, retire, or scale, on purpose instead of by accident.
