Customer overview

Dark Matter Technologies is a Fintech company with more than 1,100 employees. The company recently pivoted to becoming an AI-native organization. To support that initiative, Dark Matter rolled out Microsoft 365 Copilot across the company. But leadership understood something important: turning on AI isn’t the same as helping people use it well. That’s where Inviso came in. We worked with Dark Matter to help employees understand how Copilot fits into the tools they already use every day.

Challenge

Rolling out AI across an organization creates opportunity. It also creates friction. Employees are curious about AI, but many aren’t sure how it fits into their daily work. Without clear guidance, adoption slows down and tools sit unused. Dark Matter wanted something different. Leadership set a goal of reaching 45% engagement in the first quarter. To get there, employees needed practical examples of how Copilot could help them work smarter across Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Solution

Inviso supported the rollout with hands-on Copilot training designed for real work. Instead of focusing on theory, we showed employees how Copilot fits into everyday workflows. Sessions covered common scenarios across Microsoft 365, including:

  • Summarizing meetings in Teams
  • Drafting documents in Word
  • Analyzing data in Excel
  • Managing communication in Outlook
  • Building presentations in PowerPoint
  • Using Copilot chat and SharePoint to find and organize information

Employees learned by doing. The goal wasn’t just to introduce AI. It was to help people start using it right away,

Results

The combination of company-wide deployment and structured enablement led to rapid AI adoption across the organization.

Within the first month of the rollout, Dark Matter achieved:

  • 87% adoption of Copilot licenses
  • 91% monthly engagement among users
  • 97% AI usage within Microsoft Teams
  • 50% AI usage within Microsoft Word

Employees began using Copilot across multiple Microsoft 365 tools to streamline collaboration, accelerate document creation, and improve information access across the organization.

“As COO of Dark Matter, I am proud to lead our transition into an AI native company. We rolled out more than 800 AI licenses across the organization and saw adoption reach 87% in the first month, with strong engagement continuing across Teams and other Microsoft 365 tools.”
